Exciting News: JPG to Welcome Five New Full-Time Religious
Dear St. John Paul the Great Community,
It is with great joy and gratitude that we share some incredible news. After prayerful consideration, Fr. CJ Mast of the Archdiocese of Denver, the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, and the Servants of Christ Jesus have graciously accepted Archbishop Aquila’s invitation to serve at St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School!
Starting this fall, Fr. CJ, two Dominican Sisters, and two Servant Brothers will join our mission to form young men and women who are courageous disciples of Christ equipped for a lifetime of faith and service. Their arrival marks a new chapter for JPG, and they will bring not only their rich charisms but also a vibrant witness to the beauty of religious life lived in full communion with the Church.
Fr. CJ will join the JPG team as a full-time chaplain, leading our students in spiritual and faith formation. Additionally, we are excited to continue our relationship with the Companions of Christ. For three years, many of them have generously dedicated their time and energy to the spiritual growth of our students and will continue to do so alongside the full-time efforts of Fr. CJ.
The Dominican Sisters are renowned for their commitment to truth, teaching excellence, and fostering a deep love for Christ in their students. Their joyful presence will greatly enrich our school's spiritual and academic life.
The Servants of Christ Jesus, with their devotion to prayer, evangelization, and spiritual mentorship, will inspire our students to embrace lives of virtue and mission. Their guidance will help us deepen our school’s Catholic identity and provide unique opportunities for faith formation.
Please join us in praying for Fr. CJ, the Dominican Sisters, and the Servant Brothers as they prepare to begin their ministry here. Together, we will continue building a school where Christ is at the center, and our students are prepared to scale new heights for His glory.
In Christ,
Steve Pries
